Anita Baraw – Caterpillar Room (Infants)
I moved to South Florida in 2012 from Connecticut to get away from the cold and snow. There I worked at another Lutheran Pre-school in the infant room for 7 years. Before working at the preschool in CT, I worked as a para-educator for the middle school in my hometown. I have always enjoyed working with children and watching them grow.
I have one grown son and still think of him as my baby! I attend Christ Church and enjoy reading, gardening, and home decorating.
Carolina Studenroth – Caterpillars (Infants)
In Peru I studied at the University to get my Elementary Teacher’s Degree. For the past year I have been working at Christ Church Preschool having the best experience working in the cubs, caterpillars, and butterflies rooms as an assistant teacher. I enjoy working with children and helping them grow while taking care of their emotional and physical development.
Beverly Dalu – Panthers (VPK)
God opened an exciting door for me when I became an Early Childhood Educator. I’ve been working at Christ Church Preschool since 1991, and for 19 of those years I enjoyed working in the “two year old” classroom. I have been actively teaching the VPK program since 2011.
There is excitement in the air as God continues to bless our school and its opportunities to help enrich the children academically and spiritually.
Danielle Olmstead – Office Assistant/Sub
I recently graduated from Keiser and am now a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, where I plan to work with children. I have a 4 year old son, who has been part of the Christ Church Family since he was an infant. I started working at Christ Church Preschool in 2013. I began as a Substitute teacher working mainly with the infants & 1 year olds. I have since then worked all over as an Afternoon Assistant. I now work as the Office Assistant, where I get to assist the office staff & teachers, which brings me great pride. I believe it takes a big heart to shape little minds, and I’m grateful to be a part of such a great team!
Dawn DeLena – Assistant Director
I lived in Coral Springs most of my life. I have two wonderful children who attended Christ Church Preschool. Gabriella, 18, attends Endicott College in Boston and Riley, 15, attends Stoneman Douglas High school here in Coral Springs. I joined the staff back in 2004 as a substitute teacher. I loved it so much that the following year I became a VPK teacher. I became the Assistant Director in July 2013. I am so blessed to be a part of Christ Church Preschool.
Dawn Greco – Dolphins (Two year olds)
I have been with Christ Church for a total of 8 years, 6 of those years with the 3 year olds and this will be my 2nd year with the 2 year olds as the Lead Teacher. All three of my children are graduates of Christ Church Preschool. I have my child development associate credential in Early Childhood Education and I am also First aid, AED, and CPR certified. My passion and love for the children has led me to continue working in this field.
Donna Emperador – Substitute
I am originally from NY. I have been living in Florida for the past 20 years. I moved down to attend Nova University for my Masters in Family Therapy. I started working at Christ Church Preschool 3 years ago, but have been a member of the Christ Church Preschool family since 2002 when my son started here in the toddler class. I started part time in the cubs’ class, but now I mainly substitute when teachers are out. I love subbing because I get to work with all different ages and watch the children learn and grow.
Elenice Santos – Turtles (One year olds)
I feel very blessed to be on my tenth year at Christ Church Preschool as a Lead Teacher in the Toddler class, known as the Turtles. I model a Christian character in all that I do. I am faithful to my job and I love the children with all of my heart. I am dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus and teaching the children that CHRIST is the most important part of our life.
Elisabeth Marzucco – Panthers (VPK)
I am a PreK teacher and have been a part of Christ Church Preschool family for 28 years, 26 years exclusively with 4 and 5 year olds. I have a Child Development Associates Degree and I strive to give my children the skills they need to be prepared and succeed in Kindergarten. Through the years I’ve come to realize just how important early learning is. It’s up to me to make the first taste of teaching to be sweet. I like working in a Christian school to share God’s unconditional love with children and their families. I am grateful to be a part of such a great team and look forward to working with your child here at Christ Church Preschool.
Idali Medina – Director
I have worked in the education field for over thirty years and joined Christ Church Preschool as Director in January, 2014. I feel blessed to be part of a Christian preschool as my entire education was attained at Christian schools. I am from New York and my parents are from Puerto Rico. I have a BA in English from the University of Puerto Rico and a M. Ed. in School Administration from the College of New Jersey. I’ve worked as an English as a Second Language teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal in international schools overseas. I moved to Coral Springs in 2006. In addition to working at the preschool, my passion for teaching and helping others has led me to be an Adjunct professor at two local colleges teaching English Composition and Education classes. I am married to Luis Morales. We have five children, Karina, Kathleen, Luis Javier, Tatiana and Angel Luis.
JoAnn Knebel – Cubs (Infants)
I was born in Ripon, Wisconsin, a town of 4000, graduated high school in a class of 50 students & went to college and received a degree in Interior design and merchandising. I got married to my husband Peter and moved to Florida on our honeymoon. I have been with Christ Church for 40 years and have been with the Preschool for 38 years. I am currently the lead teacher in the Cubs room.
Laura Johnson – Manatees (VPK)
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a minor is Psychology. I have taught 4 year olds for the last 16 years. The last 10 have been at Christ Church Preschool. I enjoy the VPK program because I have the opportunity to teach the children the things they need to know for Kindergarten and am able to hear how great the kids are doing when they come back to visit.
Leslie Collins – Butterflies (3 year olds)
I am now in my third year teaching three year olds. I have a passion for nurturing children and sharing with them the love and hope of Jesus. I am a certified preschool and elementary school teacher. I have taught in the preschool, elementary, and middle school grades. It is a joy daily to see the world afresh from children’s eyes, to experience their wonder, enthusiasm, and love. It is a privilege to be part of helping these littles ones grow into the individuals God created them to be.
Linda Meredith – Tadpoles (One Year Olds)
I have worked at Christ Church Preschool for over 10 years. I have taught children from 1 year to 18 months for over 5 years. My love for children brought me to Christ Church Preschool.
Maria Munoz – Dolphins (Two Year Olds)
I have worked as a teacher with the school for 10 years. I continue to take classes for better teaching methods. I have been teaching in the Dolphin class for 3 years. I also was given the honor of teaching Spanish to the children. Teaching children is my passion. I was born in Colombia. I’ve been married 25 years and have a son who is 20 years old.
MaryAnn Bainlardi – Turtles (One Year Olds)
I work in the Turtle room as an assistant teacher. I am also licensed as a certified nursing assistant, where I have worked with the elderly for the past 4 years. Caring for people is what brings me joy. I also had my own childcare business in Brooklyn, NY for 9 years which I enjoyed greatly. Children think they learn from adults but I greatly believe we learn a lot from them.
Nicole DaCosta – Manatees (VPK)
I’ve been teaching VPK for 2 years now. Prior to this I taught the 2 and 3 year olds for 3 years, and the 18 month olds for 3 years. I have my CDA, Directors Credential and training in VPK. I have been teaching for 10 years at Christ Church Preschool. I love the kids and my job!
Patricia Binetti – (After Care, Summer Camp, Cooking & Crafts)
I have been part of Christ Church Preschool for over 18 years. I started as a substitute teacher and now I have the pleasure of working with the three year olds and VPK children. I recently earned my CDA credentials and plan to start on my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love working with preschool children, I learn just as much from them as they do from me. I always go home with a smile on my face and a child’s love in my heart.
Rosa Perez – Blue Jays (2 Year Olds)
I’m a certified teacher, graduated from Palm Beach College and I have been the two’s Lead teacher at Christ Church Preschool for 20 years. I teach my children the love of Jesus by bible stories and prayer. I love children, lifting their self-esteem and allowing their creative minds to reach the stars. I was born in Puerto Rico; I’m fluent in English and Spanish. I’m a mother of 3 and I have 5 grandchildren which I love with all my heart.
Skyla-Kim Emperador – Cubs (Infants
I’ve had a passion for children for as long as I can remember. I have a 2 year old daughter of my own. I’ve worked with infants up to 3 year olds. I’m hoping my future studies involve Early Childhood Education as I love working with children.
